Following various discussions during 2025, a small group of local arts volunteers is in the process of reinvigorating Sutton Coldfield’s community arts support and establishing TheSCAN as a network to bring together everyone with an interest in the arts in Sutton Coldfield. This will include artists, arts groups, venues, audiences, leaders, supporters and the wider local community, with the aim of increasing engagement with and participation in the arts.

Governance is being established, branding is in the design stage, and pretty soon this website will have information on local arts groups and events listings.

 

Once it is live, community arts members can submit information on their own local arts activities as well as listing their events.

New content will appear at different stages, so please bookmark and return to this page. In the next few months, we will launch TheSCAN, create access to this website for your groups and events, and facilitate increased collaboration between local groups and organisations to provide more community arts for the communities of Sutton Coldfield.

We are grateful to the various individuals and organisations in Sutton Coldfield that have been part of getting TheSCAN to this stage and beyond. And we are excited that this is the next chapter in Sutton Coldfield community arts!
